about us and our members
The CCBLR was established in 1974 by the management of the Belgian Office of Foreign Trade as the responsible branch of the Belgian Association for Exportation and Cooperation (in French: ABEC. It was grouping the associations acting with the centralized economies of Eastern Europe). The Chamber was first created under the denomination “Economical Committee for the Belgian-Luxemburg cooperation with USSR”. In 1992 it became the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, and developed more activities with information letters to members, receiving official business missions from Russia and Belarus.
From 1994 the Chamber has developed regular activities with monthly newsletter to members, and the organization of several official trade missions from/to Russia and Belarus, seminars and conferences. In 1996 the Management Committee was much enlarged and in 1999 the Chamber became a vzw-asbl, concentrating endeavours on Russia and Belarus.
On 15 October 2013 CCBLR has initiated creation of the Partner office in Moscow - the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia (CCBLR Moscow - www.ccblr.com). Two independent entities (our Chamber - CCBLR Brussels and CCBLR Moscow) cooperate in frame of the cooperation agreement.
CCBLR is honored to hold the status of the accredited member of the Federation "Belgian Chambers" and the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg.

our more than 20 years specialization and missions in Russia and Belarus has allowed us to create an excellent experienced team, a very deep network of public and private links, including in the far Russian Regions.
we can orient to the more appropriated Belgian Region the many foreign requests asking for "Belgian partners".
Chamber is recognized by Belgian and Luxembourg Federal and Regional public authorities who allocate CCBLR with yearly public grants, associate our Chamber in the preparation and meetings of every Belgian-Luxembourg-Russian Joint Commission and ask its advises for the Belgian-Russian Joint Action Programs.
